Men's Basketball
The Nittany Lions defeated Illonis, Northwestern, and Indiana within consecutive days which led them to advance to the Big Ten Tournament Championship.Players Jalen Pickett and Seth Lundy were named to the all Big Ten Tournament Team. Unfortunately, Penn State came short against the 1-seeded Purdue by a score of 67-65 in the game. Despite the loss, Penn State earned a place in the March Madness Tournament. They will face off against Texas A&M on Thursday for their first appearance in 12 years.
Men's Volleyball
No. 3 Penn State beat Purdue Fort Wayne which allowed them to receive the Outrigger Invitation in Honolulu. The Nittany Lions also upset No.1 Hawaii in route to their championship win. Toby Ezeonu continues his solid play this season with five kills and .571 hitting percentage. He has kept leading the nation in hit percentage. Ryan Merk and Michal Kowal represented Penn State on the All-Tournament Team.
Track and Field
In his last race for this indoor season, Handal Roban impressed in the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. He earned third-place in the Men’s 800-Meter. Roban's bronze performance led Penn State to the 34th overall and fourth highest placement in the Big Ten. The outdoor season will begin on Saturday, March 18, at the Penn Springtime Invitational in Philadelphia.
Women's Lacrosse
Penn State defeated No.17 Rutgers with a score of 9-7 in their match. Kristin O’Neill led the Lady Lions with five goals as they moved to 5-2 on the season. Ashley Bowan tied her season high with nine saves.
Men's Lacrosse
No. 8 Nittany Lions defeated their third straight Top 10 team this season with a 10-6 victory against Cornell. Matt Traynor recorded his third hat trick of the season. Jack Fracyon allowed a season low 6 goals while recording 16 saves Penn State will look to remain hot against Marquette on Saturday, March 18.
